Well I have been busy, finishing up the 2nd grade version of my academic vocabulary units.
I base these vocabulary units on the Oklahoma State Department of Educations Academic Vocabulary

This is a 25 page unit with illustration worksheet, academic vocabulary notebook templates, five in a row, matching definitions to words (with BOOM!) cards to play, and matching antonyms and synonyms..

2nd grade - Academic Vocabulary for Language Arts
You can find it here on my TpT store.  I hope you enjoy.

PLEASE, PLEASE leave a comment and join my blog if you download and like this...

Here is a BACK TO SCHOOL unit
Freebie to help develop ORAL LANGUAGE skills.  You can use the pictures to have student sort into categories.  They can be used a receptive and expressive language activities (give clues and point to the picture, name the picture).  Complete the analogiess (sorry the first one is inverted and I am not a the computer with the file to fix).  Complete Idioms.  Describe using the Describing Hierarchy.  And you can draw lines to match the antonyms.  These items are adapted so even your most challenging students can write (by pasting images)

Hope you enjoy... Alicia
